Hi friends! My name is Amber.  I am the owner & Director of Wild Oak Wonder on Instagram. I am a 2nd generation homeschooler & mom of 3 with over 12 years of experience in home education. I am a certified tutor with the National Tutoring Association and continue my Waldorf Education & training through LifeWays of North America. I have spent the last few years teaching classically in a local community of homeschoolers, privately tutoring many local students and coaching families on Home Education. Our mission with opening our Waldorf inspired PlaySchool & Learning Center is giving children an education experience that cultivates wonder & goodness while nurturing the whole child.

A Passion for Learning

Hello! My name is Danielle. I was born and raised in beautiful Calaveras County, along the Hwy 4 corridor. I have one son who is 5 years old. Since I was a child, my dream has been to be a teacher.  My goal is to create an alternative education style for families that blends the nurturing, simplistic, and genuine connection of homeschooling, with aspects of a traditional classroom. I believe that students should play an active role in their learning while developing skills through play, exploration, and learning that will build their individuality, confidence and decision making skills. I have a passion for social-emotional and trauma-informed teaching. I recently completed my Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies: Elementary Education with a concentration in Mathematics from California State University, Stanislaus. I have a passion for learning and have continued my education, currently through the Multiple Subject Credential program.

Our GRADES & MIXED KINDER program is designed as a three day academic instruction and enrichment that can be continued at home Fridays and Mondays. Overseen by our Director and taught by our degreed teacher, children will learn through play and exploration, while still experiencing the fundamentals of education and academics through a waldorf inspired approach. OurTutors will also help equip and inspire parents to carry on any amount of academics. Our program is unique that parents are still involved in their child's education but have community and support in the approach to Waldorf education. Parents are welcome to stay for main lessons, but not required.
Days:Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays 8:30-12:00Tuition:$525 monthly ($12.50 per hour)
